+Steegs had experienced the wonders of the deep - echoing caves, cool rock, flamboyant art across chipped cavern walls and veins of ores that glinted in torchlight. Then the Goblin Queen claimed land for Goblins on the surface, and Steegs learnt of warm sunlight, shining dew, rumbling thunder and far views from high places. Wonders abound in the worlds above and below, Steegs knew. Sunrises and sunsets, crystals of all hues catching the light, songs and dances and peals of laughter and joy  - all things to witness as beautiful.
+But then Steegs witnessed *magic*. A scroll unfurled, words compelled and a rush like nothing Steegs had ever experienced, and something new began to burn inside him. A drive that had been flitting from this to that all his life, something innately Goblin that had finally aligned in the right way.

Before stepping forward as king he trained as a hunter of monsters and dark dangers to the people of Halrgardr and many new faces in his court are companions from these past deeds. Great wolves, strigoi and wyverns are all creatures Ingvari has contended with before now he must enter a far more dangerous arena. Politics.
